Toastmasters Awards and how you can achieve them

All new members of Toastmasters begin their journey by being presented with their Communication and Leadership Program manuals. The Communication manual contains 10 speech projects that progressively build the speaker’s ability and confidence. On the completion of your 10th speech you will be presented with the Award of CC, Competent Communicator.

Here are the primary objectives of the 10 speeches:

  4. How to Say it
  5. Your Body Speaks

  9. Persuade With Power
  10. Inspire your Audience

The communication manual contains details on how to prepare for your speeches. Additional materials and guidance are available from the Club’s VP of Education or from any other member of the Club’s committee. All you have to do is ask!

Toastmasters has a wide ranging education programme, it doesn’t end when you become a Competent Communicator!

There are two educational tracks which you can work on together: Communication and Leadership.

The next level on the communication track is the the Advanced Communicator Bronze, followed by Advanced Communicator Silver, Advanced Communicator Gold all these contribute to the ultimate goal of both the communication and leadership tracks: the Distinguished Toastmaster Award.

The Leadership Track begins with the Competent Leader (CL) manual and progresses onto the Advanced Leader Bronze and Advanced Leader Silver awards. There are also other leadership opportunities that contribute to the ultimate goal of Distinguished Toastmaster.
