Becoming a member

The Toastmasters programme is suitable for both women and men (the minimum age is 18). The atmosphere is friendly and informal.

Members are from a variety of occupations: education, PR, journalism, sales, hotel administration, design, museums and many other categories from computing to homeopathy. Many of them have to talk to groups regularly in the course of their work, and feel there is room for improvement. Everyone believes that developing the ability to speak in public is character-forming and beneficial to their careers. Becoming a member of Perth Toastmasters provides access to the Toastmasters International communication and leadership programs. You also become a part of the world-wide Toastmasters community.

You are welcome to come to one of our meetings (there’s no need to arrange this in advance) as a guest or alternatively, why not contact us for a chat.

What does it cost?

Perth Toastmasters is a non-profit making, educational organisation.

To join the club you have to pay a one off membership to Toastmasters International at a cost of £20. This pays for your Communication and Leadership Manuals, and other educational materials. You will also receive the Toastmasters monthly magazine with lots of hints and tips on public speaking.

In addition, the Perth Toastmasters subscriptions are £120 for per year if paid in full, £70 for 6 months or £12 monthly (payable by standing order).
